Are you looking for somewhere new and interesting to include in your coach tour itinerary?
A visit to our privately owned Mundoo Island Station, the last farming property on the Murray River, South Australia may be just the experience you are looking for. Established in 1843, Mundoo Island Station has been home to sheep, cattle and horses for generations.
History abounds, the Coorong vista is magnificent and the birdlife is something to behold, especially during the spring and summer months when we have thousands of migratory waders visiting our shorelines.
Your two-hour tour is conducted in your own coach with a representative from Mundoo Island Station on board to commentate and advise the points of interest. The tour crosses over the Mundoo Barrage from Hindmarsh Island to our privately owned Mundoo Island and then across the Boundary Creek Barrage to Ewe Island, where the Coorong vista emerges. We then cross back to Mundoo Island to visit the old car graveyard and museum, where you will have time to serve your own morning or afternoon tea if desired.
The special rate for coach tours of Mundoo Island Station is $33 per person.
Coach menus are available upon request at the nearby waterfront bistro “The Landing” at The Marina Hindmarsh Island if you wish to include a beautiful meal before or after your tour.
The Fleurieu Peninsula has many amazing places to visit and stay including Hindmarsh Island, Goolwa, Victor Harbor, Langhorne Creek and you can hop on the ferry to Kangaroo Island!
